Arrival Information
The city of Pisa is easily accessible, including its entirely walkable city centre. Other local transport options include buses and rental bikes. The conference venue is located in the heart of Pisa, making it convenient for attendees to explore the city and its surroundings. Pisa is well connected by rail to major Italian cities, and by air to international destinations through Pisa International Airport (PSA).

By Air through Pisa International Airport (PSA)
The Pisa International Airport “Galileo Galilei” (PSA) is the main airport serving the city. It is located just 2 km from the city centre and it offers direct flights (including low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and WizzAir) from major European cities.
Local buses run from the airport to various points in the city, including the train station. Taxis are also available at the airport, costing around €10–15 to reach the city centre. The PisaMover Shuttle (opens in a new tab) connects the airport to Pisa Centrale train station in just 5 minutes, with a frequency of every 5–10 minutes.

By Train through Pisa Centrale Station
Major cities in Italy are connected with Pisa through the national rail network. The main train station is Pisa Centrale and includes connections to Florence (about 1 hour), Rome (about 2.5 hours), Milan (about 3 hours), and Venice (about 4 hours).
By Car
The city is accessible via major Italian highways, including the A11 (from Florence) and the A12 (from Genoa and Rome). Parking in the city centre or at the university may be limited, although it is possible to reserve it in advance through MyParking (opens in a new tab).
By Bus
Long-distance bus services (including FlixBus (opens in a new tab)) operate routes between Pisa and other cities in Europe and Italy.

Both the city centre and the areas slightly outside it offer viable options for accommodation in Pisa. Please note that the historic centre of Pisa has traffic restrictions (ZTL) and limited parking.
